Sunday morning, everyone — and what a weekend close it was. Eighteen trades fell in the last day, heavy on the range shorts hitting their targets and heavy on the longer longs finally timing out. The book took −12.55% on an autonomous ATOM dip buy that never rebounded, then made most of it back on a pile of small +3% wins. Net result: the weekend was flat to slightly negative, but the pattern underneath tells you something worth watching.

The range shorts are working exactly as backtested — they win consistently and close quickly. Three ICP shorts, two NEAR shorts, one INJ, one LINK, one APT all fired and landed near their +3% target inside 8 to 72 hours. PENDLE and NEAR tried twice and failed twice, hitting their −8% stops. That's the shape of the edge: most trades finish small and profitable; some lose the full drawdown and you move on. Over eighteen closes, that math came out to roughly breakeven before the momentum longs dropped anchor.

The older longs are bleeding now. LTC and APT both timed out at five days with −8.65% and −11.84% — they needed +10% to close green and never got there. Those are time-limit casualties, not volatility disasters; the market just didn't give them the bump they were waiting for. DOT and NEAR's dip buys all expired in 24 hours near flat or slightly down — the rallies never materialized. That's the other half of the equation: when entries miss their window, the rules don't negotiate. You hold the stop or the time limit, whichever comes first.

**Right now the open book is stacked heavily in repeats and stacks — four separate positions on ATOM (two long, two short), two each on PENDLE, ADA, LTC, ALGO, LDO, WLD, APT, and one deep repeat-fire sequence on WLD where bitcoin only moved +1.5% between entries, the favorable case the backtest blessed.**

### the market from here

Bitcoin is sitting just above yesterday's high at 76,644, down 0.8% on the day but up 21.7% over the month — a brutal uptrend that has spent the last four days digesting gains. It's 8.1% above the 50-day average and 9.3% above the 200-day, so both intermediate trends are up. The problem is all three time frames below price: today's open, this week's open, this month's open — sellers have controlled every bounce. That's not a reversal signal yet, just a fight.

Key support sits at 76,000 (the week's low and a round number) and 70,907 (the 50-day average). Below that, 70,093 (the 200-day) is the last line before the 30-day low at 62,345\. Upside is capped by the weekly open at 80,438 and the 30-day high at 82,288 — both look far away from here.

Ethereum is in the same story but worse: down 1.96% on the day, only 0.35% higher for the month despite being up 31.68% over 30 days. It's 13.9% above the 50-day and 20.4% above the 200-day, so the uptrend is real, but it's tired. Price is fighting just below the monthly open at 2,467 — if it can't hold there, the 30-day low at 1,862 is nearly 25% away.

Order flow yesterday was mixed. Bitcoin saw the most buyer aggression in ten days (7.0% net buyer volume) and Ethereum was balanced (−0.8%). But in the book's coins, the story flipped: ATOM saw the most buying of the stretch (14.2%), but ALGO and PEPE saw the most selling — ALGO down −6.3%, its hardest hit in ten days. ADA was balanced but in a tight range. That's telling you the big names are getting bought and the mid-caps are folding.

Futures positioning shows shorts are paying longs on both bitcoin and ethereum — the crowd leans short and is paying for it. Open interest on bitcoin is flat (up 0.1% in one day, down 3% from the week), and on ethereum it's flat too (down 1.4% yesterday but up 1.4% from the week). Neither side is pushing hard; the crowd is drained.

The tape looks like a rally trying to catch its breath — buyers showed up yesterday for the big names, but sellers are defending every micro-bounce and time is on their side. If bitcoin can't clear 77,200 by tomorrow, the shorts own the next move down.

### one thing worth keeping

The momentum longs (LTC, APT, ATOM, PENDLE on the long side) are all entering day four or five of their windows — they have hours or a day left before time expires. They're collectively underwater. Watch how they close: if they hit their targets in the next six hours, the stacks pay off clean; if they run out of time flat or down, the book posts a small loss and cycles through. That's not bad luck, that's the rulebook working as tested. Patience beats the urge to exit early.

#### all-time

| trades closed | win rate | avg trade | cumulative | tracking since |
| ------------- | -------- | --------- | ---------- | -------------- |
| 509 | 72.5% | +1.23% | +626.8% | June 08, 2026 |

The last seven days closed 78 trades: 50 wins, 28 losses, averaging −0.04%. That's a tick below breakeven — the range shorts (68% win rate, just under +1% average) are getting their wins but the momentum entries are dragging the week down. ATOM's autonomous loss is a rare data point: dip buys on extended timeframes (three-day window) can miss if the dip never bounces. It happens once every couple of hundred trades; yesterday it happened.

The all-time cumulative is still +626.8% across 509 closed trades. The win rate is 72.5%, which means the losses are being sized right — the book is making money even as it loses more than a quarter of the time. That's what a backtest buys you: not a winning streak, but a math that works when you follow it cold.

See you tomorrow — ATOM's oldest long is at 4.3 days with only 0.7 days left before the five-day window closes, and the crowd is selling ALGO hard. If those shorts click here, the book collects fast.
