Morning — Monday brought the bill for Friday's patience. A −8.04% stop on LDO short (held 50 hours) wiped out most of what the week had built, and the dip buys that were supposed to be easy money — WLD in particular — decided to stay broken. Five SHIB trades in 24 hours showed the rules working: three winners, two that ran into time limits, but the math is math. Over seven days, 8 wins against 10 losses, and that −1.41% average is the sound of a week where the easy plays weren't.

What matters right now is that the book is crowded again. Eleven open positions across a small coin set, and three of them are stacked — meaning the independent signals are agreeing on the same coins at the same time. That almost never happens by accident.

### the market from here

Bitcoin is sitting at the weekly open and today's open: **65,293 is doing real work as a confluence point**. Below that lie the 50-day average (63,262) and the month's open (58,532), then the 30-day low (57,886) — a 11% drop to sellers' stronghold. Above, the 30-day high (66,907) is 2.6% away. Ethereum is trading right at its 30-day high near 1,960, up 25% for the month and 12% above its 50-day average. Two very different temperaments: bitcoin resting at a hinge, ethereum running.

Order flow yesterday tilted buyer-heavy across BTC, ETH, and most of the book — but with a mechanical wrinkle. NEAR and PENDLE saw the session's heaviest seller aggression, and those are the coins the desk is currently shortest on. JTO hit its most buyer-heavy day in ten days, and the desk shorted that yesterday too. The rules are looking at bounces inside downtrends and one-way dips, not the crowd's conviction. That gap can last a day or cost a week.

Futures positioning is mild. Bitcoin's open interest dropped −2.9% in one day but is up 1.9% on the week — shorts exited yesterday, but they haven't given up the war. Ethereum added 1.3% OI yesterday and is up 3.4% on the week: new shorts pressing in, or old longs holding. Either way, funding leans short on both — the crowded side is paying the uncrowded side to hold, a classic sign that the crowd may be wrong together. It's not a prediction; it's a warning flag flying at half-mast.

Volume dried up. Yesterday's volume was 44% of Bitcoin's 20-day normal, 68% for Ethereum. Thin tape doesn't make the direction wrong, but it makes conviction suspect — like someone whispering in an empty room and assuming it matters.

If I had to place a bet, this looks like a market resting before it decides which way. Bitcoin has to hold 65,293 to stay above its 50-day; lose that and the next real floor is 58,532\. Ethereum is at an inflection point: either it breaks above 1,960 and retests the 200-day (2,140) or it rolls back into the 1,800s. Neither resolves quickly on volume this light.

### one thing worth keeping

A stacked position is not a glitch — it's the rules voting the same way twice, independently. Today's PENDLE repeat fired 28 hours after the first signal, with bitcoin up just +0.96% between them. The backtest read that favorably: when the same coin fires twice with minimal interim pump, the second trade actually runs slightly better than a fresh one. Same story with WLD (44 hours, +0.91% bitcoin move) and LDO (50.6 hours, +1.96% bitcoin move — above the +2% threshold where the backtest stopped trusting the repeat). The rules are stacking because the tape is really behaving that way, not because the bot is broken.

See you tomorrow — that 11-day LDO bounce short is one day from its time limit; PENDLE and WLD both have their repeat plays in, and thin volume means the next real move could come fast.
